Scott Foresman Math is the RLUSD standards based core mathematics program. This web link is an online intervention tool for students, educators and parents. Students can access and print homework worksheets, play math games to improve math skills and get general math assistance.


RLUSD adopted Harcourt (K‑5) and Holt (6th Grade) as its core Science curriculum. These websites provide assistance for teaching and learning this standards‑based, state approved curriculum.
Kindergarten through fifth grade students use the Harcourt Science text. The above web page requires a password which your child's teacher can provide. This web site it packed full of fun and interesting things for students.
Sixth Grade students in the Rio Linda Union School District use Holt, Rinehart and Winston Science.

Language Arts

RLUSD has recently adopted the Houghton Mifflin Language Art program. Above is a link to that Houghton Mifflin Language Arts program. You child can play educational games to reinforce comprehension of key vocabulary words.

Research Assistance

Your child can access the Worldbook Encyclopedia from school or home. This is a great resource for both parents an students. This site is password protected but your child't teacher can provide that infomation to you so you and your child can login in anywhere.

Sacramento's educational technology gateway

This exciting, shared vision of the Sacramento educational community is many things to students, teachers, parents and others. BESTNet allows students to enter a new and creative environment to continue and supplement what they learn in the classroom. And teachers can use this environment to help connect their curriculum to standards. As BESTNet grows, its resources and projects will allow the community a new gateway to participate in education.

College Planning is a Web site designed to provide pre-admission information about colleges and universities in California. The site has recently expanded the information nearly five-fold in a format that is easy to use, encouraging visitors to learn more about postsecondary opportunities within California.
